Tamara Allen, LAc, Dipl of OM (NCCAOM), RD, LDN
|Tamara received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture and received advanced training at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, (NCCAOM) a national organization established to regulate the practice of acupuncture. She is also a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine in Florida.
Tamara has also been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years and is a Licensed Dietitian and Nutritionist in Massachusetts. She provides nutrition consultation to patients for weight loss, chronic diseases including oncology support, gastrointestinal disorders and cardiovascular health. As a member of the Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine her interest lies in providing counseling for wellness and disease prevention.
Special areas of interest include working with patients experiencing infertility, stress and anxiety, side effects of chemo and radiation therapy and musculoskeletal pain. Additional specialty training includes the Oncology Acupuncture program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Integrative Medicine Services and advanced infertility training.
